About Helen Kingett

Helen qualified as a Dietitian in 2005 from the London Metropolitan University, having done her training in London and Surrey.

She specialised in bariatric surgery in 2010 after moving to University College London Hospital NHS Trust.

She has a special interest in behaviour change and obesity management and has worked with patients who have had Gastric Bands, Sleeves and Bypasses and supported them through their whole bariatric journey.  She has been involved in many research trials including the Randomised Control Trial STEP looking at weight loss medication Semaglutide for weight management and now supports patients who are being treated with weight loss medication.

She has presented at British Obesity and Metabolic Surgery Society Annual Scientific Conference in 2019 and 2021 and presented at the BOMSS monthly journal club in 2022.  She is a named author on the following journals:

Helen joined Streamline in 2014 as a Bariatric Dietitian. She is passionate about nutrition, understanding the patient’s own motivations, empowering them and supporting self-efficacy.
