I just wanted to say that restriction has finally kicked in! I was inpatient in my expectations, but incase any one else looks at this post and has the same problem, I didn’t want them thinking that they should have the fill topped up or maybe my case is unique. x

    Hi Emm,

I’m feeling a little effect from the band fill, still disappointed. I know how frustrating it is, but my friend had the same problem as yours and had to have a some of the solution removed, because the more established your band is the longer it holds on the solution, so for your own sake I would make the trip to have it removed. Did you happen to go to Harrow to have your fill, if so thats the same place as I did, he was a real nice person but its no consolation. Your right 5lbs is a lot, I’m not a doctor but I guess you’ll be losing body fluid too if you can’t eat much please get it checked out.

The last fill I had was different to all the others as the doctor drained my band of all fluid to see how much was in my band and then put the fluid back in and then gave me an additional 0.25ml of saline solution and it took four attempts to find the port, which was uncomfortable. Normally Shaw Somers carries out my fills and he is amazingly efficient and bang on every time.

I hope the restriction kicks in soon or is the answer to go for another fill?

I had a band fill 2 days ago, I normally notice a difference in the amount I can eat straight away. This time I have not felt any restriction and am still eating the same amount as prior to my fill.

Has this happened to anyone else and is it normal?
