    Hi all,

Just wanted to share more of the good stuff, I went to Alton Towers today and went on ALL the rides. Not been to an amusement park for years because the shame of not fitting into a seat or carriage was something I couldn’t face. But had a brilliant time today. Must have walked miles too, which I love being able to do.

My new life is amazing. It’s nearly 6 months since my op and I’ve lost about 7.5 stones. My BMI has just dropped under 30, so while I’m still overweight I am no longer carrying the label of obese, this feels really significant. I am so grateful to Streamline for the opportunity and for the lovely support that is on this forum.

Just wanted to repost this, almost a year to the day we went to Alton Towers and we went again today. I remember the thrill I had last year going on the rides and having the energy to enjoy the day. That thrill has not diminished one bit, I love every part of my new life.

I hope I never become complacent or stop being grateful for the chance I’ve been given. If any new folks are reading this and are undecided about surgery, all I can say is that for me it has been life changing and life giving.

Aw, Chris, this gave me goosebumps. I feel exactly the same way 7 years on. What a gift we have been given?

Thank you so much for posting this. If any newbies read it, they will know all the good things that lie ahead. It’s not easy but, MY LIFE, it is worth it.

    Thanks again.

That’s brilliant! I can relate to that, my nephew got me to try on his watch last weekend, and I was terrified, but it swam on me!!

This is one that has just become relevant for me, and I am walking between as many parked cars as I can find! We are a crazy bunch!
