Hi I my op was a year ago today and I have thankfully lost over 12 stone . My life is so much better and I can do more with my children. I have finished filming for the next series offat surgeons which will be on later this year. I was wondering if anybody else suffered with sleep problems because of excess skin some times it feels like your laying on rolled up socks and is un comfortable anybody have any suggestions or same experience

    Hi Luke

Great to hear from you. looking forward to seeing you on TV later in the year!

I too had the same level of discomfort due to excess skin. Also for us ladies there is the added discomfort of having to wear some sort of bra 24/7. I didn’t have one on in hospital last year and my Dad asked what the bump by my armpit was!!! Bless him. Mum tried to explain it but he went all ‘male’ and changed the subject haha!

I have a memory foam mattress ( not a topper, a full one) and that helps enormously. However, the best advice is to wear something close fitting in bed to keep everything ‘in place’. Not the most comfortable of solutions in the summer but it worked for me. I hope one of our lovely gentlemen will be able to offer advice more suited to you!

Well done on your weight loss and happy belated oppiversary!

    Doodah x
