I have just been given the worst news. A very good friend of ours passed away today age 56. I just feel so very sad.

My pouch seems to have gone into like a spasm & my stomach is rumbling like crazy! Do you think it’s normal & just physical reaction to this awful news?

As I always say, I’m not a clinician but, I am a human being and I feel positive that what you are experiencing is a symptom of both grief and shock. Be very, very kind to yourself for a while – just like you would be to anyone else. Tears are good. Don’t bottle it up or put on a brave face.

Sending you a gentle, virtual hug. So sorry for your loss.

Thanks Doodah he was such a lovely man. He had triple heart bypass surgery 4 days after my surgery. We had all been out a couple of weeks before & we were talking about how our lives would change post surgery. The world yet again lost one of the good ones. We will miss him very much. :0(

Life can sometimes seem SO unfair that it can knock us off the perch so to speak. All you can do now is live your life for him. I did that when my best friend was murdered. Every new thing in my life is in his honour. I still miss him after 25 years. I hope he would be proud of me as I know your friend will be of you x
