Well, it’s a week since my surgery and I’m feeling so much better. The first few days I wondered whether I’d done the right thing, I was in a lot of pain and felt helpless not being able to do anything around the house and having to rely on my husband and 2 children who have been fantastic. Now I’ve ditched the stockings and I have my last clexane injection today, things are getting back to normal, especially as I can move on to mashed foods tomorrow !

Anyway I’ve weighed and measured myself today – I’m 1st 5lb lighter than I was 3 weeks ago and I’ve lost 1 inch from my waist and 2 inches from my hips! ๐Ÿ˜€

    Hi Lynne

Isn’t a marvel how things can change so much in one week?

1st 5lbs in 3 weeks? That’s absolutely brilliant. You must be so happy with that. It’s all onwards and upwards (well, downwards really lol) from here. Well done you ๐Ÿ˜‰

Sorry I haven’t been here for a while, things have been hectic running round getting ready for Christmas and I kind of haven’t got round to it! Hope everyone is doing well whether pre or post surgery. I’m 6 weeks post op now and although my weight loss has slowed down over the last couple of weeks, I’m not disappointed – I’ve been on 2 Christmas dos and managed to lose weight for the first time ever! I offered to drive for the first one so I didn’t have to drink, the second one we stayed over and I made the decision to mostly drink water.

I had my first fill yesterday – just in time for Christmas! I was really nervous but it went ok and was nowhere near as bad as I expected it to be – I hardly felt it. I’m now only 4lb away from my lightest in 9 years and I’ve dropped 2 dress sizes.

Happy Christmas everyone, hope you have a good one!

    xx

Thank you SO much for sharing this Lynne. What a lovely, upbeat thing to see on a miserable, cold, wet Wednesday morning. Two dress sizes already – that’s mind-boggling isn’t it? We all know how much slog that takes. I’m absolutely thrilled for you. You have made fantastic decisions and they have worked to your advantage. That’s what it’s all about. I’m very proud of you so I hope you are.

Have people started to notice? Has the response been magically positive for you? I do hope so.

I love how we all share each others’ joys and successes as well as the lows and worries. This place is such a safety net isn’t it? It’s certainly mine!!
