    Hi guys

I just have to tell you that I am totally overwhelmed by all the kindness and support you have shown me in regard to my impending plastic surgery. It reiterates what a friendly, supportive place this forum is.

I know many of you in ‘real life’ but the generosity of spirit I have received from my online friends is absolutely remarkable. You are all like a giant hand that I can hold when I need to be guided or aided.

THANK YOU so much. You are wonderful.

Wow fantastic news on the plastics, I must have missed your announcement, when are you having your surgery, and are self funding or are you one of the lucky few that are getting it done on the NHS.

    Thanks Paul.

I am self funding as, since I applied for it on the NHS, my circumstances have changed (I work now!) I feel it is only right to pay for it myself. Let someone less fortunate have it on the NHS I say 😉

I’m having it done on 11 October, down here on the South Coast. I’m excited but a tad nervous, which is entirely natural. However, I needn’t be as my surgeon was recommended to me by none other than Shaw Somers!

You all know me, I don’t mind what you ask!

On 11 October, I’m having a fleur de lys abdominoplasty (tummy tuck that goes from hip to hip then up through the tummy to the breastbone) then when that has healed nicely, I’m having my breasts (uplift) and arms (brachioplasty) done at the same time – probably early next year. I have sold my soul to the bank manager but it’s all roughly the same price as a medium-sized car!

I always say at seminars that you could save your life for the cost of a very modest little car and it’s absolutely true. I’m making mine pain free and more comfortable for the same price. Money well spent. I have taken my own advice for once haha!

Mr Nicholas Bennett Cosmetic Surgery & Plastic Surgery Consultant, Portsmouth, private hospital specialist.

This is the fab surgeon who is doing mine. Price is dependant on what you have done. Streamline also work with The McIndoe Surgical Centre. Here’s the link to that:

McIndoe Surgical Centre | About Streamline Surgical – The Fat Doctors

Again, price dependant on specific procedure.

All the above are highly recommended. If you really want it done, then do it. I waited a long time for mine because a) I wanted to make sure I had my weight management fully under control and b) I applied to the NHS and got fobbed off twice as they kept changing the eligibility criteria (grrr, that’s another story entirely!) As it happens, I am now employed and can fund it myself.

    Hope this helps.
