    hi
sorry if you have heard this before but i dont have anyone else to turn too.
please its not a feel sorry for myself i genuinly feel really sad and upset.
as you know i get lonely. most days im ok as i find something to do. the evenings i find a struggle. its not every night .
thing is i keeping getting hurt by people and its really getting to me now.
i dont really have any freind but do chat online.
this morn for example someone who i supported and considered a freind has really hurt me. she flew at me for asking something on fb. it was a genuine mistake yet she was so nasty ive ended up in tears and its not even 9 in the morning. thing si with me is i like to talk in evenings so i dont feel alone.
i know i suffer from depression although much better. also with counselling im hoping to get confidence etc in myself. but why do people have to be so hurtful ?
ps desperate to ride agin too and i just dont know anyone with a horse.
    pps thanks for listening,again.

Mandy… HUGE ((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))) hun… So sorry you’re feeling so low at the moment… Have you been to your GP recently? Are you having counselling now? Is it CBT? I really hope it helps.. I know what it’s like, although only moderate depression, but I can sympathise.

Sorry your friend has upset you, could it be that she is a bit down too and has taken what you said the wrong way by mistake? Maybe later today when you’ve both had a chance to cool down a little, you can hold out an olive branch and maybe sort out the misunderstanding you both had?

Are there any stables near you? Or a farm? I know when my sister was a teenager, she used to work at the farm on a Sunday and used to get free rides, in return for helping out with the mucking out and feeding, etc… she loved it (we hated the stink when she came home! ;)) Would be good for getting out of the house and great exercise…

You should he more self confident (easy to say, I know) you are doing so well and are looking fantastic!

Hope today gets better for you.

    Take care
    xxx

    Hi Mandy,

Sometimes life really sucks, friends let us down and we get to feel the world is really against us….

Lonliness is an awful thing, so we need to work on getting you out and about finding you things to do and enjoy.

Perhaps the meeting (locally) is more urgent than thought…..

Can you suggest a date your be available? SO I can get something sorted…. Im sure we will all benefit from meeting each other…its so very difficult over the internet and the waiting for a reply when everyone is busy seems to take forever….

Dont be too down sweatheart, this surgery gets very emotional…even I have been close to tears a few times myself…. moody irretable and just not myself…..

Your not alone really, but being let down is an unfortunate part of life, I have learnt he hard way just the same as you. and this I expect is why I now choose to keep friends at a distant so they do not end up hurting me….

We build walls to protect ourselves.. just need to makes sure they are not so tall that our saviour cant get over it……

Thinking of you, unfortunatley it is very difficult for me to phone right now, Im in a shared office…. but i will try tophone you later ok…

    Chin up princess

    Hi Mandy

I am sorry to hear that you have been feeling anxious. Profanolol is good for anxiety but maybe your GP could refer you for counselling of some sort. I know there are lots of cut backs in NHS but Mental Health I believe is a priority.
My daughter age 27 suffers from anxiety and has read some good self help books. There are also lots of help places online. Google anxiety and hopefully the will come up for you.
Should I can do anything else let me know.
    Take care xx

    Hi Mandy,

So sorry to hear you are struggling. I have had experience of anxiety and know a good friend who suffers quite badly. He tried medications but they didn’t really help, and he had to deal with the addictive side of them as well. He has regular counselling, I am shocked that your GP will not fight for more sessions for you – 7 is simply not enough. Why not speak to your GP or possibly even try to see if one of the bariatric psychotherapists at St Richards could get involved on your behalf and recommend more counselling to help you.

I think getting as much support as possible is really important – places like this forum are a good place, but 1-2-1 and face-to-face support are good (never easily when you are feeling anxious). Push your GP, or if you are worried about doing this ask a family member or friend to go with you to the doctors to push on your behalf.

Some exercises like Tai Chi and Yoga can be very good for relaxation, they both include breathing exercises which you can use when anxious. Maybe this is worth a try? I think you live around Chichester? Maybe someone on here who lives nearby could take you to a class?

Might not be your thing, but a lot of complementary therapies are also good for relaxation. I work in this area, and I treat many people (including the friend above) with anxiety based problems (it seems to help them a lot)- massage, aromatherapy, reflexology, reiki etc – could you try something like this to see if it helps you? If this is something you might like to try, PM me and I will see if I can find someone in your area for you to see. If cost is an issue, there are lots of healing groups which work for a donation – these are great as you can have some relaxing healing, a cuppa (and a biscuit!) and a good natter all rolled into one! I live a little too far away to help personally (and I am still not well enough to do 1-2-1 work), but maybe one day…

I do hope you start to feel brighter soon.
