I remember it so well , and I can honestly say it’s been brilliant . Even Through had a few tiny bump along the road . I would still do it again . . So what on your wish list vic I had painting and cutting my toe nails ,. Wrapping a towel around with out gaps , getting up stairs with out being out of breath , walking to local shops 10 minutes away . Sitting on a plane without extension belt !!!! . Cycling around airfield ( 3 miles) staring at gym going to aqua areobic, sitting in the bath with water both sides, and many more . But seriously it’s good to having a wish list including the small things and the big things , and keep it . Also take your measurement and photo before liver diet , and write your self a letter for the future telling your story about how life is for you at this moment . After WLS life is brilliant but some times their are lows like when you stall . It’s a journey and when your having a bad day it’s helpful to look at photo, read your wish list and letter, try on your old trouser. As Doodah says it’s not just about the number on a scale . Ps don’t compare your weight lost with others it’s you own personal journey xxxxx

I honestly don’t think that it has and I don’t think that it will until I am in St Richards and on my way to theatre, scared about pre-op though, worried in case they find something that could delay my bypass. Feeling poorly today, might just go back to bed.

Oh Kimberly, you are wonderful! I have some simple things on my wish list, and some big ones too! Here are some of them! Wrapping a towel around me, being able to sit on chairs/furniture and not worry that they are going to collapse underneath me. Reach my toe nails. Have a lap for my god daughter to be able to sit on. Not need a new toilet seat every six months! Be able to sleep in bed once again (have had to sleep on the sofa since Christmas). Be able to have a bath. Be able to have my pick of jewellery. Feel cold in water! Wear a coat in the winter! Wear seasonally appropriate clothes and shoes! Have clear work clothes, home clothes and going out clothes. Go horse riding! Be more active. For my husband to finally carry me over the threshold. To do Go Ape. To having a go at segwaying. To wear matching underwear. And most importantly, to have a future. There are so many more. but this is just a taster. I love the idea of writing a letter, will do that!!

Kim has given us all some fantastic advice. Write your letter to yourself whilst you rest. then you can dream about it tonight!

Reading these things that you want to do is so “real”, many people who are not our size would never understand. The last time that I went horse riding was when I was sixteen-seventeen and even then the horse gave me a long hard look and I’m sure that he felt that he had got the short straw.
