    hi all,

so had an embarrasiing moment last night. was on a first date with a really great guy & we went for a lovely dinner. So had a pasta dish but naturally couldnt eat it all. He knows about the surgery so wasnt to bothered about it. But the Matre Dee came over & asked if my meal was ok as i hardly ate any of it. Was so embarrassed as it kinda shone a huge bright spotlight on the fact i didnt eat it all. I just said that i can not eat a lot due to surgery but i was just so embarrased. I never asked for a kids menu as i know they dont allow it, plus i think that would have been even more embarrassing….:embarassed:

anyway just thought i would put out my embarrassing moment to u all. hope it made u all laugh.

    have a fabulous day ๐Ÿ™‚

We also went out for dinner last night to celebrate my husbands ??th & our daughters 9th bday !!! I too feel embarrassed & wasteful when I leave half a meal so I have vowed next time we’re out I’m going to ask for a child’s meal !!! Mind you I’ll have to take a brave pill 1st !!!! X

I normally ask for one but have at this place before and they had said no.. so didnt bother asking this time. & the starters just did not intise me.

ah it went REALLY well Doodah – fingers, toes – actually everything crossed for a second one ๐Ÿ™‚

Not sure whether good or bad, but local Indian has supported me through my op ๐Ÿ™‚ now I can go to the Sunday buffet and have a little salad and chicken tikka and feel normal – it’s great and at this superb restaurant the owner, sultan, god bless him, charges me the ยฃ4.99 kiddies cost. So……2600 buffets time I repay the ยฃ13k I had to borrow for the op! Perhaps not a great example and that is 50 years, but makes me smile ๐Ÿ™‚ keep it going all!!!

    Ooh, everything crossed Kim.

I hate it when eateries won’t let an adult have a child’s meal. If I go out with my (very forceful) sister, she shames them into letting me have one! Wish I had her chutzpah!! You would be amazed how few child veggie meals are available. Outrageous.

Let us know (by that I mean me of course haha) how the next date goes. He is one very lucky chap ๐Ÿ˜‰

That is great that they support you. Most of the resturants do only had the one on tuesday night and one in london refuse a kids meal. but most of the time i have a garbage can (someone else) with me to finish off my meal ๐Ÿ™‚

ok now i want chicken tikka for breakfast ๐Ÿ˜€
