Please advise, am 6 months and 1 week post bypass and my old demons came back with a vengeance tonight. My other half bought chips from the chips shop for tea for him and the children and I had some chips. Really wanted to eat loads of them and had to leave the table to get away from them.

Any advice – or can anyone tell me it will be okay?!?!?!

I think to think you’d never ever have them again is unrealistic. A very very odd treat here and there won’t be awful. You didn’t go mad, you left some and walked away.

I reiterate what bakes said exactly. You had some, left the table and walked away: that’s what ‘normal’ people do. I don’t think for one moment that this is the first step on a slippery slope. You have proved to yourself that you can have the odd treat and walk away. Well done. 😉

    Doodah x
