I can hardly believe that 1 year has passed since my gastric bypass! I remember, so painfully, sitting in the car some 14 months ago, prior to my appointment with Shaw, and feeling so desolate and desperate with my weight and the awful impact it was having on my life. The ray of hope he offered, the reset button he called it, was to be my lifesaver.
Today, I am just over 6 stone lighter, 90 inches smaller (in all the right places) and have a zest for life I never thought I would enjoy again! There are a couple of pics on my website of before and after if you’re interested (still can’t work how to get them on here…but believe me they show the difference!).
I can’t thank my surgeon and his team for all the support, encouragement and inspiration they give me everyday but I also want to thank all my new bariatric buddies too…you have been my linchpin throughout all this…because nobody can help in the way that a person who has experienced all this first-hand can! I hope I can continue to support you and all the newbies who are considering or who have dates looming (and those who hope to have dates in the future). You’re all very special…in individual ways..and I shall toast you all tonight and probably get very ’emotional’. Carol xx

Happy Oppiversary Carol. You have done so well. I can’t wait to meet you on Monday.

I have my first appointment tomorrow at Southampton with Jamie Kelly and the MDT on Thurs. I do want a copy of your book but I am waiting till after my appointment as I don’t want to jinx myself.

So I am really hoping you can bring me a signed copy of Monday 🙂

Hope you enjoyed your special day you deserve it.
