It’s a difficult one this isn’t it? I’m not sure what I think to be honest.

I read this article and found it very interesting until I scrolled down to the bottom to the comments of other readers. Yet again people’s cruel and totally ignorant comments of the overweight disgusted me. I urge you if you read this the please take a minute to post something positive to at least try to outweigh the horrible comments posted and to increase awareness of the need of this surgery for many ( I know not necessarily at such a young age) but most of the comments did not focus on her age.

Summer I thought they were cruel too but just people jumping on band wagon – one talks of tax payers money yet it is clear the mother paid for surgery!!
Not sure about the surgery so young but at least she can have a life.

Regardless of who pays for it, the question is, should children be having wls? The ‘haters’ would move on to the next easy ‘target’ if there were suddenly no overweight people to pick on. They don’t mind their taxes being spent on mending the broken legs of people who go hangliding, orienteering or skateboarding. It’s the moral judgement that I find so offensive. The person costing the NHS thousands of pounds because they have broken their neck horseriding is fine to these people, but £8,000for a lifesaving operation that will continue to save money is attacked. Grrr, don’t get me started!!

    Go go doodah…
Don’t forget the smokers, alcoholics , who work in good job but get rat arse on a Friday get into a fight and want an ambulance to get them home…. Doctors to stitch them back up…. Boy racers, muggers, thieves who get hurt doing what they do and want the NHS to mend them free of charge, anyone illegally entering the country and falls of the lorry wants the NHS to fix them for free.

And so the above should be free, so should my WLS… But it’s my fault I eat to much, it’s my fault no one put it in my mouth, I’m to blame… So you mr John will have to pay even though over your working life you have paid in thousands of pounds to the NHS and have only been in hospital on two occasions, where the aforementioned have not paid a penny infact your taxes mr John has helped pay there benefits….

Sorry if I’ve upset anyone but now I’m on a roll… Cheers doodah I’m on one…

Still never mind I can hold my head up and walk tall… Which is good because before WLS I couldn’t walk at all…. Lol

    Happy days love John xxxx.
