Well I was done at 8am yesterday morning. Home now… How long was it before you could all do normal household things (pick up toys, shoes things off floor) without it hurting? At the moment even coughing hurts, not sure whether I’m just being impatient, or how much pain others experienced!!

It was 8 years ago I had mine so memory poor but from memory after 2-3 days I was fine. The port bit was tender but that’s it. By the weekend I expect you will feel shed loads better. Good luck.

Ah thanks chick that’s good to know, thanks 🙂

I was banded on 14 June and am only just able to sleep on my left side without feeling uncomfortable. I stopped taking pain killers after about 3 to 4 days. I wasn’t in pain – the port just felt uncomfortable. The nurse at my pre-op said I shouldn’t do anything strenuous for about 2 weeks to let everything settle. Everything is fine now thankfully.
