    Morning,
I thought I’d share a little gem of info with you guys.
I had my bypass on the 5th march 2012…..can’t believe it is nearly a year! I have gone from nearly 20 stone to 9 1/2 and I’m absolutely delighted.
the only problem I have had really is that I suffer with terrible trapped wind. Sometimes it is manageable but there are a number of occasions when it is crippling and all I can do is stick a hot water bottle on my tummy and take lots of windeze.
I saw Denise ( dietician) at st Richards on Friday and she suggested I try the little actimel drinks. I have been taking them for 5 days now and I have not had a bit of trapped wind since. they are really tasty and a pretty decent source of protein so if anyone out thre suffer with this I highly recommend giving them a try

    Hi

The sceptic in me will always be suspicious of things with made up names,, bifidus digestivum and boswellox being two of my favourites, so always treat these things with more than a touch of suspicion, I know that a good gut full of the correct bacteria is essential for animals that are naturally vegiterian, like guinea pigs, but still not convinced how important it is for us mere humans, after all our digestive system works on stomach acid and enzymes in the bowle.

Having said the my wife swears by Actimel especially for its effect on her bowle movement, so the might be something in the claims.

Anyway after wafelling on good news that its working for you Katy.

Thanks for sharing that Katy (the advice not the wind!!) as that will be a really useful one for people to try. Good old Denise ๐Ÿ˜‰

It’s a pleasure. I think I am reassured that its a good idea because a) it’s success is evidence based and b) because Denise recommended it and I trust her judgement! Oh and because it seems to be doing the trick! ๐Ÿ™‚
