I remember the first time I tried to eat a whole avocado, a few weeks after my bypass in 2002. I was really scared when I realised it was going to have to make the reverse journey. I expected puking to be very painful, but was pleasantly surprised when it came up so quickly and easily. Woops, and it was all over. It even tasted as good as it had on the way down!
