That must have felt amazing Hypno. When i went to see my rheumatologist last year, the nurse said ‘Ooh, you must be feeling the cold: a little thing like you’!!! OK, so I’m 5′ 3″ and the giveaway must have been the four layers of clothing I was wearing, but I was totally shocked that she said it.

I honestly think that it takes about three times as long for our head to catch up with our bodies when we lose weight so quickly. This is also the reason I believe we start to panic when the weight loss slows down – to normal. We are so used to losing phenomenal amounts of weight each month, that when it goes back to normal we think we are failing. We forget to consider the absolutely astounding amounts we have already lost!!

Anyhow, it happens to us all. I had my plateau at 12.5st lost. Although I didn’t realise at the time that’s what it was. I was perfectly happy with it and was totally shocked when it started up again a few months later. I went on to lose a further 2.5st. So, don’t be disheartened. Just keep on going. Never give up even if you haven’t lost any for weeks. When your body realises you are NOT going to revert back to your old eating habits, it will knuckle down again. However, NEVER forget what you have already achieved: and be extremely proud of yourself 😉

Patience is a virtue…..
