Hi Hazel.

Don’t be so hard on yourself! You have managed to lose loads of weight and started to tackle giving up smoking – they are both magnificent achievements!! At over 3.5 years post op, I can almost eat anything so long as I don’t eat much of it. Isn’t that what ‘normal’ people do? I only ever wanted to be normal and now I am. It takes much longer for your head to catch up with your body but it does happen. Be kind to yourself and focus on what you have achieved already. I think a positive attitude counts for an awful lot (both with wls and life in general) ‘Don’t let the bu**ers grind you down’ and all that!! Be proud of yourself and take time to bathe in your own fabulousness.
