Hi there Emily I echo what the others have said on here sometimes you can eat something and your fine then you try it again and it makes you feel sick I’m 7 months out and still struggle with some foods now. I’m at the moment finding out that sugar free sweets are giving me a laxative effect!!!!

Much love Ellie x

Hi Ms Ellie, i think you will find that quite a few sugar free sweets have sorbitol in, which is laxative and i guess due to your smaller stomach pouch then you have to digest so much less of it to have the laxative effect….. might be worth looking to see if you can find some sugar free sweets without it
i am due to have my op on the 8th june so am looking forward to joining you all on the losers bench
Regards Andy xx
