Kim, I remember being told about excess weight being multiplied umpteen times in pressure on your joints. This was by a woman who I met at a diet club and we stayed in touch. She was having knee pain and had been advised to lose weight to help it. She was no where near as big as me but was probably carrying and extra 2 or 3 stones. She did lose some but gained it back and has now needed bilateral knee replacement.

Anyway my appointment went well today and Mr Slater doesn’t need to see me again. I can still get telephone support from the dietician if I need it but all is good. I was asked at the appointment about the biggest changes I have noticed and all i could say is EVERYTHING has changed, physical obviously, but mental and emotional too.
