Hi gill
my hubby only took a couple of days off , honestly I had surgery on Tuesday , home Thursday and I made him drive me on Saturday to the local shop , could only walk for 5 minutes ( couldn’t do that prior to WLS ) .he went back to work Monday and I was fine . Mobiles made it easier as I could call him or friends . I even walked to the corner shop and brought a pint of milk day 6 . I was a tiny bit worried ,but knew if I been in hospital like what use to happen 20/ 30 years ago then I would have been made to get up and walk . I had people who wanted to spend the day with me to look after me but I rather be on my own , I could sleep when I wanted to .
You could always phone the surgeon secretary and talk sweetly to her explaining your husband job and enquiring were you are on the list . Just phone and chat to themx
