Hi,
Depends on when and what op you had. I can only tell you about a bypass as that is what I had and if my memory serves me well I was on real puree for about a week after the op, then went on to mashed but really well mashed food for about a month, then just began to introduce a bit more texture as the weeks went pass, but just remember to eat slowly and chew, chew, chew or you will suffer, I still forget and it is 17 months since I had my bypass and boy do I then suffer, but it is a kick up the pants reminder of what I have had and not to forget lol.
