Hi all,

I had a Gastric Bypass in 2010 and have lost a lot of weight but the past year I have started putting weight back on and feeling hungry all the time….I feel I can eat far too much in one go adn think my pouch has stretched.

This has come about since I had a spinal operation last year which has left me disabled….I was very active before and since the op I cannot do any exercise at all which has not helped.

Has anyone had a revision with NHS funding? And how did you get it etc?

Any advice much appreciated xx

Hi Emma and welcome to our friendly forum.

So sorry to hear that your back surgery wasn’t as successful as you had hoped.

Both Paul and Katy are right – don’t panic yet. Firstly, yes a pouch can stretch but you really have to go it some to do it! Secondly, if you are immobile and possibly depressed about it, nasty old head hunger is going to take up residence on your shoulders. It always strikes when we are most vulnerable. The 5 day pouch test is a perfect way to deduce whether or not you have stretched yours. Please find the link below.

Please try it and see how you get on. Lot’s of people I know have done it and have been very pleasantly surprised at the results! please keep in touch too. Support and encouragement are invaluable at every single stage of wls.
