Ah yes, protein. Well we had the op on the same day so I thought I’d let you know how I’m doing – I’m pretty sure I’m not getting enough protein. I can’t seem to manage 4 or 5 meals, I have 2 or 3, and I have had to drop the amount I eat in order to leave some gurgle room for the air I swallow to escape back out. I learnt this the hard way. (I haven’t felt totally stuffed, but if I’m full, it just seems to push the air down to waist level and it is agony.)

Today I had about 150mls of cottage cheese, well chewed; 1 golden kiwi, very ripe; about 100ml of blended homemade chilli con carne (50% veg 50% beans and meat) with a quarter of a sweet potato, mashed, and 2 teaspoons of plain low fat fromage frais. I recon that was about 30g of protein, if that. Other days I have managed about 100g salmon blended with either low fat hollandaise sauce (from a packet) or low fat mayonnaise; blended bolognaise sauce; low fat yoghurt with a kids banana well mashed; low fat processed cheese slices; about half a tin of heinz lentil soup with low fat grated cheese – I really haven’t been very adventurous yet and I’m getting really fed up with splat marks all over my clothes from the blending – any tips there? I wore an apron today and still got some on my sleeves (tomato based sauce on a white shirt – I know I know! I’m a mucky pup.) Violet. :washing:
