Hi guys

I had my appointment with the dietician at St Richards today and after reviewing everything they have told me that’s it I am done, I am not to loose any more weight and am to go into maintenance mode from now on, who would have thought I would ever be told that, especially after only 8 months as well. Apparently WLS patients are expected to loose about 60% of there excess weight and according the her calculations I have lost 85% of mine so she was extra pleased with my efforts and was well please with my food diary as well.

I had been going through a bit of a rough patch a few weeks ago, but that has also been resolved and was not related to my bypass as was first though, well not directly. It turned out the reason I was feeling so week and ill was because I was on the same dose of Morphine as I was when I was 24 stone and it was far too much for someone weighing a little over 14 stone, now that’s sorted I am felling a million times better, and the hot flushes turned out to spikes in my blood glucose levels, which has meant going back on metformin. Still as my doctor said a slim diabetic is a hell of a lot healthier than a fat diabetic, so even that news is not that bad.

So looking forward to being able to say I am thin enough now, even though I am at the top end of normal it the first time in a very long time I have been able to say that, well normal in a weight related way that is, not very normal in so many other ways though, not sure if its sub or abnormal though.
