I saw one once, not seen one since my band was fitted, I work on my own rule and that is small portions, healthy eating, and three to four times a day, with a big dollop of exercising, and the weight is coming off,

Great advice again John.

The average, healthy adult needs far less than what is considered to be a regualr portion these days in my humble opinion. When I was a young woman (many moons ago) portions were much smaller than they are today. I think the ‘supersizing’ culture that had landed here from the USA has tricked people into believing that more is more! One of the lovely ladies on the video made for Streamline said her portions were those that you could …’climb rather than eat…’ and I think that sums it up perfectly. Of course, everyone is different and depending upon gender, occupation, build etc we all need different amounts. A builder will always require more food than a tele-sales operator.

It might be beneficial for you to see a nutritionist RHD, but I think we all know in our heart of hearts what a small portion is for ourselves. Maybe you need guidance as to what those portions should be made up of and your dietician will be able to help you with that.

Hope you get the advice you need. In time, you and your band will become the very best of friends and you will be able to devise a plan that suits you and that you are able to carry with you for the rest of your life ;-))
