Thanks for that, have spoke to the dietician today and she has stressed the importance of protein in the first 2 weeks after the op to help with healing and keep my energy levels up. Luckily I have 2 weeks off work so I can build up my strength up at home, am quite nervous now it is more of a reality only slept for 2 hours last night couldn’t stop thinking about it…..its times like that I could do with been like worzel gummage and change heads 🙂 ……..would appreciate any advice on foods if there is any newbies out there fresh out of surgery
Kind regards
Good old Worzel! he had the right idea didn’t he?
Please find below the links to two very useful additions to your tools for wls:
Carols Ball’s website is also the place to get a bariatric portion plate. I use mine all the time still. Her recipe books are geared to every stage of wls so you will have some great ideas for immediately after surgery. You will be amazed that you will have to remind yourself to eat!
