I actually think that good friends are one of life’s real treasures, especially when you have family worries. When your family are ill, you feel like you don’t want to burden them with your own feelings. Friends are slightly more detached but care about you just as much. It’s a win:win situation all round. They don’t have to be old friends either. New friends have a totally different perspective which can be amazingly helpful and insightful. they have no preconceived ideas of what you might need them to say! Who hasn’t told a stranger something you could never have told anyone else!?

Or is that just me haha?
