Hi SuzieQu, if you work at your diet, you can get enough protein in on a vegetarian basis, and I gather some people do become veggies post-op due to problems with meat/fish, so really the dietician should be encouraging you to try other foods that are high in protein, dairy, eggs,nuts, pulses, Quorn stuff, etc. If you are struggling generally with eating, have you tried speaking to your surgeon again? I found my dietician didn’t listen either, and was far too keen to blame me for my loss of energy, so do understand how frustrating that is!
