Hi all,

I’m new to the forum, despite lurking for quite a while now and I must say thanks to all of you for your insightful, interesting and helpful posts 🙂

I’m having a Gastric Bypass on August 25th, which is getting closer and closer – eek!

The Milk Diet is at the forefront of my mind and I’m wondering how you all coped with the hunger? I’ve been trying to cut things out gradually – so I’ve already given up booze and fizzy drinks and am planning on going carb free from 1st August too – do you think this will help? Also is it possible to have Miso Soup (Itsu do a good one) for my salty drink instead of OXO cubes?

Any help or advice appreciated.

Thanks,

Jemma

Hello CurvyJem,
I have to say, like Doodah, I stuck to Bovril and OXO cubes, my advice, for what it’s worth, is be careful of carb free diet as you have to sign a statement saying that you will ensure that you are not constipated prior to the op. The milk diet can make you lean that way, so just be careful that’s all. Which hospital are you having it done and who is your surgeon, you must be excited and nervous. I had mine done two weeks ago and do not regret it, you have joined the best forum, welcome
