I had my op nearly 2 years ago and I’m still taking 3 lots of tabs I’ve stopped iron ones but was told will be on tabs for life now I’m wondering if that’s so. I have only had two check ups since my op as hospital would not transfer me over when I moved I am sure that can’t be good

Hi Dawn.

Like Paul says, you should be having at least one check up a year to make sure everything is as it should be with your bloods. It doesn’t have to be with the same team, so ask your new GP to organise it for you. The NHS have a duty of care towards you whether or not you are an thier patient with your weight loss surgery.
