The band is a far less invasive surgery but ANY surgery carries risks – even a dental extraction!

The problem for us is that many of us have reached a point where we are quite poorly individuals so it’s often a bit risky. My BMI was 64 and I had plenty of co-morbidities so of course it makes for a lot of worrying. Having said that, our surgeons have operated on people 50st+ who have gone on to make outstanding recoveries.

It’s always prudent to worry a little. However, major fretting could be counter-productive.

So, in answer to your question, if you feel you would like to, then do it.
