Well done Hazel.

You are working with your bypass just right in my humble opinion!

I often have the odd treat on special occasions or just when I fancy it and I have found that, 3 years post op, I have learnt a whole new way of thinking about food. I occasionally have a blip (I’m HUMAN!) but now have the resolve not to let it run away with me. I would never criticise anyone for having a packet of crisps and wouldn’t expect them to frown upon me when I have an occasional cookie!! it’s what we do in the LONG run that counts.

I think we are both very lucky and I do so feel for people who react to absolutely everything as it must be miserable. It must be equally as awful for those who have no restriction or dumping after a while too. I think the key is to be really strict in the early days to make the right choices. But that’s just me.

keep up the good work and i’m pleased you are enjoying your work so much – that really helps doesn’t it?
