Hi Paul,

There isn’t much for me to add to the very wise words offered by the others that have replied, you have done the right thing to address your weight, your life will change and you will have to make adjustments but these things will enhance your life and not ruin it. Take time to heal both your body and your mind. I felt guilty before and after surgery, I have a family who I wanted to spend the money on but I knew that I needed to address my obesity so I decided to put my health first, I still have times when I think I was selfish but overall I know that I have done the best thing for both me and those that I love. My band is my best friend and sometimes my worst enemy but I don’t regret 1 minute of it.
