Hello All

I had my bypass back in January and am still “learning” ~ it’s an on-going process. I have found there are some foods I can just not tolerate, ie. cream crackers and apples, but everything else gets easier as time goes on, just have much smaller potions compared to what i used to eat. The main important thing I have learnt is to chew and chew until there is nothing left in your mouth at all, this incidently has put me off a lot of foods as the texture becomes horrible like paper mache and all the flavour disappears; also eat very SLOWLY, i have realised now how much I used to gobble my food down so I over-ate all the time, if I eat too fast now then I get a really bad pain in the chest which can only be cleared by being sick. Everyone is different so just listen to your body, it will tell you when it has had enough!
