Dizzy that’s brill… Today I’m taking some inspiration from you. I’m on a stall . Dietician did say in December I may have reached the point where I don’t loose any more but I would love to loose just another 7 lbs. it’s Wierd I’m officially 1 stone and 8 lbs over weight but actually I don’t mind. I’ve bought size 14 jeans and skirts this week it’s feels like a miracle!!!! However I do know an extra 7 lbs would just make them sit nicely!!! The weirdest thing is people keep telling me not to loose any more???? Can’t really get my head round that… Officially I’m overweight but I do like the ‘curvy look’ on me so can see why I don’t need to loose more but I still feel fat but then I look down and see thin legs?????????? All very confusing! So this weeks focus is to continue good eating , enjoy the gym and really think about where I am in this journey and try and get my head around the new me!!! Xxx

People have probably got so used to seeing you as you were that they find the new slimmer you confusing! I saw someone last week that I have known since I was 11 years old. She has seen me skinny, slim, sonsy, weighty, fat and super morbidly obese so I don’t understand how she now thinks I have to stop losing weight as I’m beginning to look ‘gaunt’!! I’m the same size as when she knew me at 16!! I often think that in my case, it’s my hair that confuses people the most. It’s now shoulder length, straight (thank you GHD) and blonde. My natural hair is black and curly!! Well, mostly grey these days hence the blonde 😉

What I’m waffling on about is…the change is startling for us and we see ourselves most days – imagine what it’s like for people who don’t.

Our ultimate goal should always be HEALTHY in my humble opinion. If that means a BMI of 23, 25, 27…it doesn’t matter. Reach your own goal then either stick to it (as I have done) or take off a few extra pounds but never, ever let the numbers get in the way of living your life to the full. That’s not what wls is about. It’s about living a longer, healthier, happier and more engaged life.

If we go down the road of getting bogged down by numbers, food still has control over us. We already have that problem so why let it continue.? We need to use our wls tool to learn new habits and ways of thinking. Then go out and ENJOY LIFE. Woo Hoo!
