I find it absolutely amazing when I read everyone’s posts and they say things like ‘I only have a few pounds to go until I have lost 5st’!! FIVE stones! It’s almost unbelievable isn’t it? Have you ever tried to lift that much weight? I know I couldn’t!

Jackie, it’s an amazing acheivement and I hope you are proud of yourself.

Natalie, all your fellow bandsters are right – it will be the best thing you have ever done for yourself. Stay strong and focused and trust that you will feel better in a few days. I had a huge surgery 4 and a half weeks ago and I can tell you quite honestly that in the first week, I really questioned what I had done. I now know that I have made a great choice that will have a positive impact for my future, both mentally and physically, but in that first week I doubted my own judgment.

I didn’t have a very good day yesterday but that is mostly due to someone I love being gravely ill and I can’t get to the hospital as I’m still not allowed to drive. However, that is life. It will always be so. Wls doesn’t guard you against life’s traumas and difficulties – nothing can. But eventually, you will be stronger and healthier to face them head on. Also Natalie, in a few months time when you are quite literally running around with your little ones, you will thank the heavens above that you made such a fab decision. I promise it will get better.
