The psychologists are lovely – they just want to know that you are fully aware of what the surgery means and unless there is a serious problem with eating issues (lets face it most of us have some otherwise we wouldn’t need surgery) you should be fine. Being honest is the best policy, they are not there to catch you out or trip you up, they want to help you. I think that for most people they just fill in the forms which are assessed by the psychologists and then some are followed up with a 1-2-1 but just becuase you have a 1-2-1 doesn’t necessarily mean there is a problem. I guess in theory they can block or delay surgery, but you would be told and everything explained to you – I haven’t heard of this happening before though. As Mandy says it is fine. Try not to worry.
