Hi Pompey

I know it seems very frustrating having to wait for letters from the hospital… the wheels always seem to turn soooooo very slowly, and it’s not just with bariatrics. I saw my Neuro on the 18th March and I only got my copy of the letter he sent to my GP on Saturday.

Things will happen, my funding application took from Jan to April, with quite a bit of toing and froing between my GP and the PCT, she then had to re-refer me back to St Richard’s as I had paid for my initial consultation privately to try to speed things up a bit… I then didn’t get to see anyone until July… I then had my op in November. I know of many people who have had shorter and many others who have had much longer waiting times.

There is nothing worse that the waiting game, all you can do is hang in there and keep coming back here for encouragement and support.

I hope you get your letter soon.

Take care
Claire
