Hi Cat Women,
I am not sure you have to apply the bypass to your insurance. I would let the airline know if your not far out… think it was about 4 months before I did long haul.

Florida I expect is over 10 hours which would I imagine include at least two meals….. it might be worth asking for a diabetic meals and aviod the carbs….. take so suitable snacks for emergencies….. and plenty of fluids.
You will be served first so it will give you extra time before they are clearing away…..

Its not always easy planning meals when travelling, so be aware of whats on offer locally.

Dont let surgery put off travelling if you can do it…. just try to plan ahead and take some proviosions for emergencies…
