Hey Hun
I’m due to go for my dietician review next week. I don’t know if this helps but I have not counted a single calorie since the op. instead I keep a food diary but this is only to see what foods I don’t tolerate and to help me figure out a pattern. I (according to my scales and the ones at my gp surgery) have lost around 6 stone since I started this business and have dropped 4 dress sizes with a BMI now of 29.6. I did notice that st Richards scales do weigh a bit heavier than mine so maybe thats how she calculated your BMI?
Maybe it would be worth trying to avoid calorie counting for a week and see how you get on?
It’s so scary not knowing the exact value if everything you eat and before the op I did keep count but I feel a bit more free now, I don’t eat any rubbish but I still enjoy the odd meal out (usually sushi….safe food for me) but I don’t let it rule my life anymore.
I hope this helps but ultimately you have to do what feels right for you.
I think we live quite close to each other so if you ever fancy a coffee and a natter I’m up for that!
