Hi Cazza. Do you think you should mention your unmanaged pain to your GP? There must be something that can be prescribed that will work.

Drinking the odd glass of wine is not really a problem but a whole bottle a night could become one. Also, alcohol often destroys any willpower we have managed to gather together so it’s no good form that point of view either. How many of us have binged on food after alcohol in the past?! I know I have.

It’s awful to be in pain all the time but there are ways round it. I hope you can find one that won’t result in you using food as a crutch and , therefore, problematic again.
