Well, as promised, here ids the answer from our very own Mr Chris Pring:

…’You’re not more at risk. In fact you’re likely to be less at risk, because your blood levels of calcium should be monitored yearly (along with full blood count, electrolytes, liver function tests, ferritin, folate and B12) by your GP.
The risk is for people who take calcium supplements but don’t really need them, thereby causing an excess of calcium in their blood’…

So there you have it. I for one am very comforted by this as I have to take extra supplements due to being a woman of a ‘certain age’ and other annoying reasons.
