Hi to all,

I need a bit of advice please. Tomorrow it will be 3 weeks since my gastric band and I am pulling my hair out. Its a bit of a story so I would really appreciate it if you all could have a read. In June I had the first bypass but by the end of the second week I was starving and could eat solid food and any kind of chocolate and sweet I wanted. Obviously i phoned and tried to talk to someone about it but as many people have found out it was very hard to speak to anyone and if I did all they said was that I needed to give it time and let it settle. This did not happen so I waited till my 6 week appointment which was rubbish but they gave me an appointment to see Mr Somers in a few weeks. When I saw him he was not sure what the problem was and told me that he would have to operate again and fix the problem. Please remember this is July 2011.

I was left with no support for almost a year until 3 weeks ago when not only did they make my stomach bigger again but sorted out a hernia and a problem with my ulcer. One thing I need to bring to everyones attention was when I had had my surgery I was put into ward where the poor nurses had no idea of how to look after me and bless them they were so good with me but I had to normally send back my food as it was not pureed and the food covered the whole plate which was way too much. Also when I left the hospital they forgot to give me proper pain killers and I suffered in terrible pain for a week or more.

Now to get to the end of the story, i hope I haven’t bored you too much. Now that I am 3 weeks in I am absolutely starving all the time. I have been eating around 600 – 800 calories a day as I am so worried that the same thing will happen again, which I think it has because I unconsciously hate a cube of cheese with no problem. I am at my wits end and I am terrified that I will never be able to loose weight.

Please can somebody help!!!!
