Hi I used to live in Exeter but not for a number of years, but since I left the practices have become very awkward as to where you live and where you register. Both my parents and brother who had been at their respective surgeries many years and hadn’t moved were then told they would have to leave the practice and go else where because they no longer came into the shrinking practice area….So good luck on your mission and finding a new GP. ( the river has a lot to do with it, if you live on one side of the Exe don’t register with a practice on the other side they don’t like it!). Not being nosey but what part of Exeter do you live in? I used to live in St Leonard’s, but was registered at St Thomas that is no longer allowed! I do know of someone who had wls but at the moment I don’t know which part of Exeter she is living in…..

I sympathise in your plight as certain parts of the city have very big practices are you thinking of changing your GP or practice?

Wish you all the best, if you wish to tell me what area you live in you can pm me and I will see what I can find out for you.

Claire……
