been a while but a small update

finally made contact with the health team that I had been referred to
seems that they are a level 2 weight clinic and they offered me 6 weeks
of Gym or weight watchers, However the lady I spoke to, said they don’t know
why I was referred there as I meet the criteria for the level 3.
so she has spoke to her manager and he said that they will refer me to the level 3
service at the hospital (Exeter) and then hopefully they will send me to the level 4 (surgery)
which the nearest one is Taunton.

so now need to wait for an appointment letter to come through

a bit more waiting

Hi ageb

Thanks for the update.

From what I can remember (my journey started about 7 years ago!) the whole process is roughly 95% waiting! About 3% is jumping through the necessary hoops and the other 2% is actually having the surgery and getting on with it!

I can tell you that as soon as it is all finalised, the getting it done bit comes pretty quickly in the scheme of things. The waiting bit teaches one thing very, very well – patience. Therefore, in my humble opinion, it is not time wasted.

Hope things go smoothly for you from here on in 😉
