I agree keeping fluids up is most important. Not just for bypass people, I reckon in the population at large if everyone drank 2 litres there’d be a lot less digestive problems.

I seem to recall I didn’t go at all for several days after the op. After all, I’d had major replumbing and hardly ate anything.I’d also had a couple of doses of opiate painkillers in hospital. But everything returned to normal after that and I’ve had no trouble since
