Question 5:

I have suffered from bulimia in the past does this mean I am not suitable for surgery?

If you have suffered from any form of eating disorder in the past including anorexia or binge eating disorder it is very important that you organise some extra support to help you both pre and post operative phases. If you are currently experiencing bouts of bulimia, i.e. vomiting after you have eaten, we would suggest a period of counselling from your local GP to help you address what is the cause of this before you have surgery.
