Question 4:

I suffer from depression, does this mean I am not suitable for surgery?

There are many levels of depression from clinical to mild, we usually find that if you are mildly depressed, once you start to lose weight, you will start to feel better about life in general and your moods will lift. If you are clinically depressed, for example, have been depressed for many years and take medication for this then it is important for you to have support and we recommend that your GP or family and friends around you will help you through the transition ahead.
