Question 9:

What can I eat after my gastric band operation

When you leave hospital after having you gastric band placed you will only be taking fluids such as tea, coffee, soup and juices. After a few days you will move up onto purees and by the end of the second week you will be on a soft minced diet. By the end of the first month, it is likely that you will be eating most of the foods that you were eating before, but sometimes a bit less in terms of volume. It is that point that you will be getting your first appointment for the first inflation of your gastric band.
